I was introduced to this game “Soggy Biscuit” by an ex-soldier in Norway. He was trying to shock me whilst he recounted the tale of a game familiar to the dorm rooms of boarding schools, sports clubs, locker rooms and soldiers’ bunkers. So disgusted with the idea, he winced just thinking about it. He succeeded. I was indeed shocked. I found it hard to understand how a group of straight men could even put themselves through such an experience. As a woman, you can always fake an orgasm, but as a group of straight men, surely you would have to get creative to get aroused under such stressful conditions. And that is how the script was born. After writing the first draft of the script I started talking to people about this subject and found so many men had either gone through similar experiences or knew of a ‘friend’ who had. These graphic homoerotic games find their acceptability in solely male environments… and yet there is always a layer of secrecy and shame.
